What to know before you go
Antalya Aquarium opened its doors in 2012. One of the largest aquarium complexes in the world, it includes 40 themed aquariums. The main advantage of the aquarium is a tunnel aquarium 131 meters long and 3 meters wide. Antalya Aquarium is open from 10:00 to 22:00
The first section provides examples of reef life. It is associated with an underwater cave. Live corals, clown fish, seahorses, lions, octopuses and giant moray eels inhabit the tropical reef. The Antalya Aquarium displays life-size wreckage for visitors.
The second part is framed in the theme of the sunken city of Atlantis. A sunken pirate ship and sharks wandering around the wreck of the pirates.
A waterfall, an aquarium with plants and porpoises are in the other sections. A recreation area is projected inside the tunnel. You can see crabs there.
The longest part is the third. There is a submarine in the section, which has become a refuge for sea creatures. The last part contains a section with hundreds of sharks.
Very important: When visiting the aquarium, do not use flash for taking photos. This causes temporary blindness in sea creatures.
