Köprülü Canyon is located high in the mountains. The road to the canyon passes through a beautiful scenic route with virgin forests and undulating waterfalls. Both sides are surrounded by steep hills, and underground springs feed the Kopra River, forming one of the most striking natural areas in Turkey. Köprülü Canyon was declared a national park in 1973 and covers an area of ​​35.719 hectares. The park is located in the mountains 49 km northeast of Antalya. Koprulu Canyon National Park is located in the Manavgat region of Antalya province. There are two historic bridges on the river. Koprulu Canyon gets its name from these bridges, which means “canyon with bridges”.

Koprucay is a river suitable for rafting. It originates in the city of Sütçüler in the Isparta region and flows into the Mediterranean Sea. In Koprulu Canyon, while the temperatures on Mediterranean beaches in summer reach 50°C, you can find yourself in the middle of a cool valley and escape the heat. How to get to Köprülü canyon?

If you are driving from the direction of Antalya, Serik region, 5 km after turning the intersection of Koprulu canyon – Beshkonak, turn 37 km north after reaching the Koprulu canyon. The distance from Antalya to the Köprulu canyon is 81 km.
If you are driving from the direction of Alanya – Manavgat, 30 km after passing Manavgat, crossroads Koprulu Canyon – Beshkonak. From here you can turn right and walk north towards the Köprülü canyon.

What to see nearby?

The ancient city of Selge and Mount Bozburun are within the limits of the national park. There are country-style guest houses in the area. You can stay in them to take a break from the bustle of the city. The recreation area has fish restaurants serving delicious food.
